Thanks for completely slapping me in the face after i wasted dozens of hours reading your guidelines and following them to the letter as best i could with my first blog. I was proud of it, i spent 100’s of hours writing content for users like you said, i used to look forward to waking up every day and updating my site but you feel guestbooks with millions of links for “Buy Phentermine Online” is more relevant for your users for finance information and even searches containing my own domain.
Heck my site is not the best thing on the net, but give me some credit it’s better than a spam filled guestbook for Buy Phentermine that’s been like that since 2006!
I know you don’t “owe” anyone a ranking, but when you rank spam, cloaked pages, and scrapers full of gibberish you give nobody the incentive to follow your guidelines but instead encourage more spam, scrapers and cloakers. If a user searches for:
Loss Mitigation Phone Numbers on mortgagesdebt.com
And you don’t show my page in the top #50 results, when it’s probably the single largest up to date compilation of Loss Mitigation Phone Numbers on the net and the users are clearly looking for my page it makes you look silly, and incapable of relevant results people will go elsewhere for their searches.
Explain to me why this ranks some 30 spots higher for the search term mentioned above containing my Domain Name, plus a Title of my page:

Note, i had to chop it down in to 2 images because there was simply “so much” spam links to fit in a single image. Visit the page, it’s almost impossible to get it to fully load!
Wow, mass pharmaceutical spam since 2006 not only still ranking and indexed perfectly fine but outranking me convincingly for a search of “Loss Mitigation Phone Numbers on MortgagesDebt.com”

Notice how the URL and Title is fully bold, this is supposed to mean it’s a pretty perfect match for what the user typed!
The Content:
There you have it this is what Google deems most relevant. Google would rather you crash your browser with Pharmaceutical spam when searching specifically for something on my site.
Mind you this is a page that took me 4 freakin days to write, many of these numbers either cannot be found on lenders sites or you need to spend hours on hold after calling their primary 800 number to get transferred so these bypass that. This is a valuable page and a lot more work went in to it than the one click pharma guestbook.
So far only a snippet scraped by a search engine scraper with about 1,000 footer links, it will probably outrank me soon too!

It contains “fluff” like:

“By always placing the interests of the user first..”
Google i hate to break it to you, look at the above results any sane human on the planet will tell you that’s a complete fail with a capital F!
Yesterday i done a test, i purchased a new domain and made one page full of nonsense, random keywords and gibberish and got it one lowly backlink so Google could find it. Guess what? I woke up this morning and it now outranks me for numerous keywords too!
I can show you 100’s of spam results like the screenshots above, cloaked pages, scraper sites containing gibberish all completely outranking MortgagesDebt.com for “very” specific terms containing our domain name and Titles of our content. We have been penalized, why i do not know and after posting this on Google Groups and bouncing this off a couple of “SEO’s” there’s been really no “substancial” reason for being thrown in the trash as severely as we have and having Phentermine spam deemed more relevant.
* Page is Valid xHTML STRICT, a couple of CSS errors were pointed out and these were largely browser specific and were fixed.
* Firefox built in spelling correction produced a different ‘ symbol to the keyboard one that was present on a couple of pages, this can only be noticed with a special HTML tool. Considering the whole site has been canned, not just the couple of pages with it and considering millions of people use Firefox so i’m surely not the only one who’s corrected a word with the Firefox context menu alternative spelling tool.
* Some Einstein “Doesn’t see why we should rank for a term like “mortgagesdebt.com mortgage hardship letter” or why someone would search for it”. Yep.. Of course huh, why would we want to show the page on MortgagesDebt.com containing Mortgage Hardship Letters instead of spam and cloakers when a user requests it.
While i do appreciate the people on Google Groups who spent the time to go over the site and suggest the things above (well maybe not the last one) it does indicate there is nothing that would make Google say “OMG lets hit the ban button and rank spam instead”.
The only thing that is apparently wrong to me is Google’s results, it’s not just my site they have trashed but the tons of spam highlighted above and cloaked redirects that is ranking better.
So Google if you want to keep penalizing sites for pedantic things like mine.. Your loss, over time Google Search will start going the way of the dodo just like Google Lively.
